Issues
Utah is growing quickly. Families are feeling pressure from higher costs, rapid development, and national political uncertainty. I believe state government should stay focused on the basics, protect constitutional freedoms, and keep Utah the best place in the country to live, work, and raise a family. Here are the priorities I am focused on.
Lower Taxes and Responsible Spending
Utah families work hard for every dollar they earn. Government should do the same.
I support keeping taxes low and continuing to return surplus revenue to taxpayers whenever possible. Tax relief must be responsible and sustainable. That means protecting essential services while preventing unnecessary growth in government.
I also believe every program should justify its existence. No autopilot spending. No blank checks. If something is not working, we fix it or end it.
Election Integrity and Voter Confidence
Confidence in our elections matters.
I support clear rules, strong safeguards, and consistent enforcement of our election laws. Utah’s system works because it is transparent and accountable. I will continue supporting policies that protect ballot security, strengthen verification processes, and ensure that every lawful vote is counted.
Voters deserve trust in the system.
Public Safety and Strong Communities
Safe communities are the foundation of a strong state.
I support law enforcement and first responders who put their lives on the line to protect us. I also support policies that hold criminals accountable and keep violent offenders off our streets.
Utah should be a place where families feel safe in their homes and neighborhoods.
Protecting Constitutional Rights
Our rights are not negotiable.
I support the Second Amendment, free speech, religious liberty, and the right of parents to raise their children according to their values. Government should not interfere in lawful conduct or expand its authority beyond what the Constitution allows.
Utah has long stood for personal responsibility and limited government. I intend to keep it that way.
Economic Growth and Good Jobs
A strong economy gives families opportunity.
I support policies that make it easier to start and grow a business in Utah. That includes reducing unnecessary regulations, protecting private property rights, and keeping Utah competitive for employers.
We should remove barriers that keep people from doing the jobs they are trained and licensed to do. Utah’s workforce is one of our greatest strengths.
Education and Parents’ Rights
Parents are the primary decision makers in their children’s education.
I support strong public schools, transparency in curriculum, and giving parents meaningful involvement in their child’s learning. Education policy should focus on student achievement, classroom excellence, and accountability.
Utah students deserve opportunity. Parents deserve a voice.
Government Accountability
Government should be transparent and accountable to the people.
I support oversight of tax credits and incentives to ensure they deliver real results. Programs should be regularly reviewed. Agencies should be responsive to the public.
The people of our district expect careful stewardship of taxpayer dollars. I take that responsibility seriously.
Infrastructure, Water, and Responsible Growth
Utah is growing. That growth must be managed responsibly and locally.
I believe decisions about growth should be made as close to the people as possible. One size fits all mandates from the state do not work for every community. Cities and counties understand their unique needs, character, and infrastructure better than anyone else.
I support smart investment in roads, bridges, and transportation infrastructure that keeps our economy moving. I also support long term water planning to protect Utah’s future.
We can welcome growth while preserving the character of our communities. That requires fiscal discipline, infrastructure planning, and respect for local control.
